No, you're right and Jeff H himself said his character had to grow up at some point. He'd still be a fearsome foe if anyone tried to hurt any of his loved ones, he's just let go of all his anger since he fell in love with Moira. I think it's a nice development.
How come Adam does one thing bad goes to jail, Aaron has hit someone, killed someone and been on the run and used a false passport and never been jailed for it expect 3 weeks.
Because Aaron faced up to what he had done every time. He accepted the consequences of what could happen with each offence. Adam tends to deal with things by crying and hiding behind his mummy.

Getting into dodgy business with Robbie/Debbie
