The Babys had two good singles which sounded pretty much the same. Their follow up was Every time i think of you...another great tune. The lead singer had a solo hit in 84 with Missing You
And spookily the first line to Missing You was "everytime I think of you", probably taken straight from the Baby's song...

    Dire programme so far.

Only "Native New Yorker" above the awful.

Eddie and the Hot Rods showing why they didn't really last all that long..

In your opinion. I love Do Anythin' You Wanna Do.

Next week: Rich Kids, Althia and Donna, Gordon Giltrap, Terry Wogan (again), Yellow Dog, Gallagher & Lyle, Bob M and The Wailers....

Rich Kids! Midge Ure looking unfeasibly youthful, pre-Ultravox , and a pretty cracking track as well, titled same as the group. You may recall it from that TV reality series of the same name, a few years ago, which followed actual rich kids in their day-to-day lives.

Don;t do that, MrB. Please use spoilers. I know it's 35 years old, but I still like the surprise.

Sorry, Gulfie, as it's in the Radio Times, I thought it was common knowledge :o:o Have "spoilered" it now...

Surely not Tezza again. Tonight on now..supposedly punk..:) or power pop. Rich Kids were brilliant ...their hit and Ghosts of princes in towers were great

I did like this one. The follow up 'Money That's Your Problem' fared less well.

What a crap week this was, I've never heard of some of these, and I watched it then.

Happily true, with more and more being part of my childhood as the show goes on.

    Indeed.

The first sort of singles I remember charted in 1976 when I was 4 / 5 and I remember a lot more singles from 1977 and 1978.

I remember coming in from "playing outside" during 1978 to hear the chart show on Radio 1 on a Sunday and wondering with each successive week just how long You're The One That I Want would remain at number 1.

Figaro! My next door neighbour in 1978 had this on 45 and used to play it very loudly in her bedroom all the time. I still like it now! :o:o

We need to lose My leaking Tyre from the top spot
    This gives way to

Up town top ranking by Althia and Donna
    Figaro - Primark Abba
Take a chance on me - Abba

OMG here they are - Primark Abba - tapping into snooker dresscodes
