The all-important mascots for the Rio Olympics and Para games have been revealed!

The Olympic mascot is some mad scientist's nightmare chimera of a cat, a monkey and a bird. The Paralympic mascot is some kind of tropical tree. They certainly look better than the terrible London 2012 ones, but Berlino the Bear and Cooley the Cow have set an enormously high standard to meet.

Not to prejudice anyone, but I went for Vinicius & Tom, after two of Brazil's most famous musicians.
