Seabass odds were far too short. 11/2 is too low for this unpredictable race.

I had a quid each way on Teaforthree.
It came in 3rd at 12/1. So I get 4 quid back ?

    Whoopee.

If anyone had Rainbow Hunter can they get their winnings? It was second across the line after all! :D

Not that surprising without the wight of a jockey on the back to slow him down :D

The Bookies don't set the price on who THEY think will win but on the money being taken.

A gurly jockey on a (very) good horse would attract money so the price gets tighter.

None of mine really got into it. Chicago Grey was right at the back at the start and pretty much stayed there! :p

But on the positive side, there seemed to be a lot less fallers this year. Hopefully those that did hit the deck are okay. Looks as though the changes to the fences may have been a success.

Fanfare, Claire? They need more practice, as it sounded very rough.

True Sue, but Claire has to ask daft questions to make telly. ;)

That race looked a lot cleaner and all the horses and jockeys have come home safely :)

Aurora I think was getting a bit overheated. Lot's of steam came off of him when they doused him down.

Spot on. There's no way Seabass would have gone off favourite had this been a conventional race with only hardcore racing fans betting on it. But the National attracts all kinds of people who wouldn't normally bet on racing and sentiment comes into it a lot of the time.

Tell me about it!! Placed a £10 win bet and a free £10 bet each way bet on Aurora's Encore. Won £900!! And all because I was thinking about the alleged Aurora spyplane.
