Its a documentary rather than fiction but I recently watched The Great Happiness Space and really enjoyed it.

As an alternative... the random and lewd 4hr Japanese comic-strip epic 'Love Exposure'. A comedy, with plenty of zing, about an adolescent's search for a soul-mate.

It's utterly bonkers (as with much Asian cinema), but I really like Casshern, kind of like a non-animated Akira.

started watching this ear;ier- VERY impressed (and so was my 2 year old son!). Thanks for the recommendation!! :)

Just got round to watching two films so far :)

    Mother and
    The Man from nowhere

I would recommend both films, the second film is a very good action film with a fantastic ending.

    both excellent films so far.

Anyone seen Guard Post (S. Korea)? I quite liked it, it has a creepy idea and some gory effects.
