Anyone notice the quick turnaround in recent weeks?
A major turning point will be when Sarah's return potentially bringing Karl and Susan together and I suspect Karl fathered one of Sarah's 2 children.
Also, the arrival (The Return) of a Lou's daugther's family, The Turners. A strong family unit who are actually great!
Shelia and Angie's return have been great too.

Lauren - recast
How can I take Neighbours seriously?!
The Sarah/Karl thing might be worth watching but shes not permanent.
Just no.
You say it as if re-casting on Neighbours is a new phenomena
Well you're being biased PaulRobinsonFan. Neighbours is clearly your favourite soap as your username says it all. But I wouldn't say Neighbours is better than Corrie... This is coming from a massive Neigbours fan myself.
Sarah has left Neighbours now (Australian pace).
Angie has also left as well.
But it is a successful Australian soap in the UK...
Then she went to the paper.

She irritates me alot, like on the first ep of Connor return
And as if recasting is a new phenomena on *any* soap.
The original actors that have been replaced were hardly Oscar winners, and to me not especially memorable.
A UK broadcaster (Five) partly funds the program on a long term legal contractual arrangement. Part of the money behind the show is 'British'. And most of its audience is British.
Five also has sign-off approval over scripts before they are produced. So the British end is consulted on what happens in the program and potentially can affect things.
No 'end of' about it.
The days of Izzy and Elle were vastly superior.
We are part of 50 countries that helps fund more episodes.
At least Neighbours is inclusive and has storylines for the older characters.
Ben and Lucy in EE??? Nick in Corrie????
Alf and Irene never get storylines. They rarely appear in Home And Away. Alf only appears briefly in scenes. When's the last time Alf and Irene got a good storyline? Irene's last storyline was the cancer storyline in 2011 and that lasted a few months.
Irene and Marilyn never get any storylines. All they do is flounce about in the background.
As for Neighbours, it's a bit of a joke at the moment. They have some very good characters but also some very poor ones. It's nowhere the best soap going at the moment.
