Contract iPhone, moving abroad. Advice please?

Hi guys. I've got the iPhone 5 with Orange/EE and my contract is due to finish this November. Around October this year I will be moving to Canada for a year or two to work.

I really want to keep my iPhone (I'd be lost without it), so my question is, what's the best way to do this? Is there any way Orange can let you renew the contract but switch to a Canadian provider or unlock the phone? I really don't have the first clue on the best way to go about this.

Or should I just cancel my contract a month early and get a contract iPhone when in Canada?

The next time I'm nearby I'm going to go into an EE shop and ask but in the meantime I'd appreciate any help I can get from anybody here. Thanks in advance!

You'll need to pay up your contract and get EE to unlock your phone. Then you can get a Sim only deal in Canada

Two things one depends if you want LTE in Canada or not plus if you want an iPhone 6 or not
