I would guess he's trying not to hurt Carol by simply walking away again. I would be more inclined to believe he's actually dead if we weren't told before it aired.

I'd like to see the source for this spoiler. If you are basing it on the Butchers recent events then that means anything. If it also means that they move on from the recent events, it could mean that David and Carol don't get married and she finds out about the kiss and tries to move on. He leaves, end of.

If this is true then i just cannot understand what the hell is going on in David's mind!!??....

Either I am terribly naive or I am just not getting it. To me David seriously wants to go ahead with the wedding; begged her to get married and is getting excited over booked honeymoon....so WHY would he want go fake his own death knowing the woman he loves is waiting for him and she's got cancer????? I just don't get it.....if this is true of course.

I don't think he fakes his death, I think he goes missing or actually dies.

Spoilers for the week after say that:

Bianca is concerned about the families finances so she does some dodgy deal. David is the main breadwinner of the family so this suggests something happens to him.
