My brother has worked at the same place since he was 19, so far just shy of 30 years. Unless he is made redundant he will stay there until he retires.

I think he is a rare case these days especially for someone who works in central London.

I'm a postie and have done the job for 36 years. When I first started we were out delivering for 7.00 and done for 10.00 - now we can still be in the office at 10.00, and some days don't finish till 3.00 :o

Six years and nine months with the same employer. I started with them age 16 and was 23 when I left. It took me that long to realise my face didn't fit and I was doomed to be on the bottom rung forever.

Just over 20 years. Would have still been there if the place hadn't closed and was made redundant.

Just over 8 years. Been thinking of finding a new job as I want to try something new and different but I've kinda got too comfortable in my routine, having a stable income is also another thing.
