Basically im wanting to know what's the best product to buy to be able to listen to an ipod via the radio in a car?
I think its an old style video ipod.. if that's any help! it's for a present for someone and i just want something basic that will do the job but that won't break after a week!

If they happen to have an old car stereo with a tape deck, get one of these:

Cheap as chips and no interfernce like you get with FM transmitters.

If they have a car stereo with ANY sort of Aux-In ..... use that. (Using whatever cable their Aux-In requires)

FM transmitters should be a last resort. Sound quality isn't great and they are VERY prone to interference .... especially in large cities or anywhere there is a lot of radio traffic.
