For the last few weeks there been many conspiracy theories about how C5 want the Cool Gang to stay in and we were being fed stories of how "nice and normal" Connor, Luke S are etc. Accusations of C5 going for the TOWIE crowd.

So bearing that in mind.......Why did C5 show all they did last night?
If we're to believe the Cool Gang theory, couldn't C5 have just skimmed over the incident like they did Ashleigh vs Benedict.

I'm trying to work out what's in it for C5 to show it like they did, knowing it would come across very bad and upset viewers when only last week it looked like Connor was been seen as a potential winner.

Does this throw favouritism theories out the water?

Are C5 going to twist the edit around now?

Is this building up to something?

I do find this interesting. Last night's HL's made the cool gang look terrible, it even ended on Deana & co having a light hearted laugh not at the expense of others while Conor and Arron were being reprimanded by Big Brother. I was surprised at the editing. And hopefully it does mean that C5 are doing what C4 had a knack of doing which was twisting things to please the audience!

Because the editing theories are just that. Theories. Typical internet fantarding and embellishment of details to make things seem more dramatic than they are. BB meddle certainly to an extent, but it's always in the name of making a more interesting show. They don't give a shit about these people in real life. In fact sometimes the favourable editing is done on purpose to give people on these boards something to cry and get worked up about, in turn keeping the show under discussion and interest high.

It's a case of one or two scenarios, or possibly both, imo.

1) They're not biased to any group and showed the footage to prove it. Production staff do read the forums, including this one, as well as other social media such as FB and Twitter etc. So they'll be aware of the criticism they get when people feel they are showing favouritism towards HMs.

2) They knew they wouldn't be able to keep it a secret. It would have leaked out sooner or later. Look at last year's BB as an example. They tried to cover up about Jay putting a matchbox of his sh*t into the freezer and that got out. There was a huge backlash from the fans over it.

It is very strange.
In the first 15 minutes last night I was saying to my partner how C5 seemed to be allowing the Cool Gang to get away with stuff etc.
Then 40 minutes later my theory was shot to pieces and I can't fathom why they decided to show it all happen.

I'm really confused because last nights edit totally goes against the last 2 weeks.

I accept that they're just theories and I never ever go in for all that it's edited in favour of XXXXXXX stuff.
But even I was starting to notice how Ashleigh, Connor etc were being portrayed a little more favourably.

they may be considering removal. Conner seems to have been warned more than once now they have broadcast a warning it will make it easier to remove him from the house without everyone saying 'nwhy wasn't it shown' type commemts when he is ejected.

Strange how they show the real Conner she Deana is up for eviction
I expect it now suits the producers storyline to make sure Lydia is evicted this week
Its also a good talking point and raised the possibility that this can lead to a ratings rise

Absolutely agree.

I don't think any of them would hold a particular loyalty to BB and surely some of the on lookers were as horrified as we were.

Another theory is perhaps the editor for last nights show just happened to be some one else who was also horrified at what they saw.

because the conspiracy theories here are just that....theories. People are so paranoid here rather than just accepting that the dynamic of the HMs is what is influencing things too.

In every reality show forum in DS there's people convinced by their own tenuous ridiculous arguments about 'what the producers apparently want.' At the end of the day, we don't know what they want and they probably make a lot of it up as the show goes along....

So why last year did they leave out Jay's dump in the freezer? Or the alleged fisting? Or the weeing on another housemate? Why?

Probably it was nothing more than damage limitation, less problems with the public complaining....otherwise. they'd have to go through the process of ejecting a HM which they couldn't afford to do if they wanted a watchable house....etc etc....
