I wonder whether GOLD have edited the Series 3 episode where Linda gets a modelling offer, to remove this line? Has anyone seen that episode recently to know?
I haven't been this excited since Jimmy Savile came to school and sat on my face!

I remember seeing that recently and the line was left in, but I can't remember if it was a TV broadcast or whether it was a clip on YouTube I watched... Is the series currently airing on GOLD?
I thought it was great.
I don't know but perhaps 'the critics' slated it and since she's gone on to do more 'legitimate' things she believes what they say instead of what 'we' say.
There's an interesting 2009 Metro interview with Kathy Burke, which confirms that she did really like it. She also mentions that a live show version could happen, which sounds like an excellent idea!

Kathy Burke did love it, she always commented on the critics for not getting it.
I'd like to think any live show wouldn't be like the Dinnerladies or Mrs Brown's Boys one where it's just a bunch of different episodes from the TV series fitted together hoping you don't notice the difference.

It broke a lot of sitcom rules in that none of them were really likeable.
Linda and Tom = selfish and vain
Jez and Suze = snooty and irritating
Beryl = nosy and crude
It took good writing and good acting to pull it off.

That sounds hilarious.

Think its only fair we bring this up for how she felt about the BBC cancelling the show.
