Shame for everyone battling cancer and it's sad for all of them but c'est la vie...our lives have probably all been unfortunately touched by it one way or another.
Yes, c'est la vie, life does go on, but doesn't hurt to have a little empathy. As you say, probably all of us have been touched by it one way or another, so probably know that even if you're a fighter, like Bernie seems to be, what a scary, isolating and upsetting time it is when you're faced with it.
I wish her all the best and hope she does kick it's arse.
