This morning our 4yr old daughter asked us why me and her mum have bought presents for all her aunties/uncles/cousins/nanny/grampy etc, but we havnt bought her any presents, and how come only santa brought hers...
What would everyone say to their kids about this if asked???

Seriously though, I think my mum got round this one by buying me presents from her, and from Santa as well. As to what you should say, I've no idea.
(I'm afraid I've got a weird mind... I'm just picturing your daughter tugging at your clothes and asking the question, and you replying 'I'll just ask the good folks of DS'... )
It's the law.
In your predicament though, I'd do what the others suggest and say you sent the money or have a ''contract'' with Santa,:)
Yup, we told our daughter that we bought them, and Santa delivered them.
She now tells her own kids the same thing.
How about that?
Sorry but I don't see the point in telling the kids you send the money to Santa, it kind of defeats the point of the magic of it all!
Never destroyed the magic for me.
I was told that presents were sent to Santa who then delivered them all on Christmas night.
The fact a fat man came to my house in the middle of the night and left me with something i didn't have the day before was magic in itself.
Plus when they're a little bit older and asking for ponies you can start to educate them that Santa isn't a limitless present resource.
(I think there may have been a year when my folks told me that Santa billed them for the presents, so no I couldn't have the spaceship/robot/computer system/elephant I wanted  )
I tend to make Santa's present something i know he really wants but has forgotten about. This year was a Chocolate Coin Maker that he mentioned in summer, he is still trying to work out how Santa knew... magical
(I've just shown this thread to my Mum - she's sent me on a guilt trip over the years because I asked that question and she couldn't tell me the real answer!)
