Poor Diaby :( Feel sorry for him.
As you say I hope AW signs a DM.

We cannot afford to carry him any longer.
DM & LB we will be sorted.
Gotta start getting results against those top teams.

So we have to find a new nickname for Sanogoals.

A couple of points from the game, as has been said previously with Chambers and Monreal playing centre back I'm starting to worry that we won't get a replacement in that area if Vermaelen leaves.

Secondly, Joel Campbell really impressed me today I think he will mate a great edition to the squad, if we play 4-2-3-1 the competition for those attacking midfield places.

Finally does anyone think Wilshere will be in the starting XI come the first day of the season?

Rubbish transfer story of the day, would happily eat my words if it happened though.

15 years ago today Arsenal broke their club record transfer fee.

    £10.5 million quid.

    But the best deal ever.

    Indeed.
In those days ( :D ) £10.5m was a lot of money. Not now though for top clubs.

Consdering a championship club signed a striker for £11m this summer shows how the money in football is getting crazy

    Exactly :(
BTW, anyone know of any decent live streams for the game?

    It's on BT Sport.

I wish they would change the format of the Emirates Cup. It would have been nice to play against Valencia.

How disappointing to hear the voice of Michael Owen providing commentary for the match.

Strong line up. Wonder if it's an indication of what's to come.

    Arteta DM
Ramsey and Wilshere in the middle.
Alexis on the right. Cazorla on the left. Giroud up front.

    According to Wenger

Diaby is not injured but not fully fit even though he played against Boreham Wood and NY Red Bulls. Go figure.

Gnabry out with a knee injury.

    Ospina out with thigh injury.

    Classic Arsenal.

Poor marking and look stale upfront with Giroud.

    Non existent marking.

So far it seems the players are trying to avoid injury at the start of the new season compared to yesterday where the players had a desire to impress.

Only pre-season, of course, but we just look so much slower with Giroud up front. Even in the FA Cup final we only really livened up when Sanogo came on. Just feel like we really need that movement up top - even if it's Sanogo - for the general style of play to actually work.

Giroud is too static and doesn't offer anything behind the opposition defence. Reason why we need a high line in defence to give the midfielders a chance to run in behind for him instead. It improves when we have pace (in Walcott and Alexis) though but Giroud is a big problem imo.

Wow BT Sport have got Keown on their team now. Hope he commentates more instead of the monotone Michael Owen.

Look so much more dangerous with Alexis up front.

Agree with Keown. Play Alexis down the middle. Giroud being 2nd choice.
