Gordon Brown when P.M. called a woman who complained about East European immigration, a Bigot, now it is mainstream and almost Government policy.

Could you give an example? I can't recall the bbc ever abusing or misusing the word 'bigot'.

Bigots are complex creatures... they think their views are the only ones that are correct and should not be challenged.
They will use endless amounts of oxygen or cyberspace shouting into your face that they are right.

As long as they are not pernicious, leave the eejits to the same rights as us 'normals'. Hell, they may even learn from it one day.

Everyone has the right to state what they believe and everyone has the right to not agree with you.

Of course they should but in an ideal world, a dinkydoobie world they'd all be shot.

    who decides what is bigoted?
    The Bigot Police
I did find it odd in the US when the homosexuals were asking for equal rights (marriage ect) and it went to the vote and it turned out the majority of voters who voted no were black I thought if anybody would understand discrimination they would

So much for secret ballots. :(

it doesn`t work like that, there are many deep roots to bigotry of any kind and they run underground in every culture and society.

Should bigoted people have the right to complain if others are bigoted to them. For example a gay person who is racist but then complain when they are victims of homophobia. It's hypocritical.

Funny that you should pitch it that way.
I have never seen a gay person being racist, not once
But I have lost count of the number of ethnic minorities I have seen being overtly and aggressively homophobic.

Bigots tend to hang out at both extremes of causes. However, some don't view themselves as such.

"I'm right. You're wrong. Any right minded person would say the same"

Basically, anyone who doesn't agree isn't right in the head.

Bigots can feel however they want.

Many people consider me a bigot for one lame reason or another but I don't care.

If people don't agree with you, tough luck, that's life. One of my best friends is gay, he's also a racist. He gets angry when people slag off gays, but makes horrific jokes about Jews and Blacks. That's his choice and if you called him a hypocrite I'm sure he would just laugh, because guess what? Hypocrisy isn't the end of the world.

I laugh at gay jokes in his presence and if he was offended I would pat him on the back and say "lighten up old chap, it was a funny joke". This is possible when you're not an overly sensitive ninny who shouts "bigot" when someone has a personal opinion you don't agree with.

Aren't you clever. It's a shame you're adding nothing to the conversation.
