Edit: Yes they are and I'm pleased that Flea won. :D

Cobain was a crap singer and a crap guitarist.

... who for the briefest moment in history had an aura around him which was second to none. anyone can train up to play with technical merit, it takes something much more special to make the hairs stand on end

Happy with drums and guitar, personally I wouldn't have had Freddie anywhere near the top 3. Hopefully The Beatles wins the band section.

Shame they had to turn a decent series into a voting show.

    AGREED 100%

Really enjoyed the great soundbites and docu bits of each band member.

    BUT

To have this pointless inane unvalidatory type of programme just shows how UNCOOL the BBC are.

Music ..like Art is purely subjective and therefore to cast it before those who could be bothered to vote is just pointless.
    another vehicle to prove......
...Ross is the uncoolist " Dancing Dad " at the kids concert type of wanna be hipster.

To take the Cool of music and package it on a " squares " programme just highlights how Naff the BBC are .

I wonder why Axl Rose wasn't in the original voting list?:o

Maybe because of his whining , screachy voice ??

The Zep tribute band isn't bad apart from having a left handed guitarist.

Stupidest show ever, worse than x-factor et all cos all those involved should know better.

Nothing more than a glorified pub conversation about music.

To use comedy as an analogy its like trying to compare charlie chaplin, monty python, black adder and flight of the concords. only a few of the bands are relevant to each other.

To suggest the results will have any empirical basis would be as absurd as saying x-factor and bgt are showcases for talent and creativity.

Was a decent two hours, though I'm sure it's changed the opinions of nobody.

Well, except that I'm never going to listen to Nirvana ever again, thanks to Miquita Oliver...
