Blu-ray disc won't play

I've got an HP laptop with a Blu-Ray player. Today I bought From Russia With Love and Thunderball on Blu-Ray. Neither will play, although other Blu-ray discs play beautifully with Quickplay. According to the HP website, there are "issues" with newer Blu-ray discs and there are updates available. I've downloaded all these, but still no joy. Any ideas anyone?

    you really are a bond fan aren't you DB5???

    one of the advantages of using a computer is that these things can be easily updated. i'd contact their support if i were you. tell them.

    try another player.

    keep checking for updates.

    I'm fully updated and it looks like I'm going to have to wait for another update when they release it. Hey ho...

    is it a software or a hardware issue do you know???? as in the player or the drivers for the drive???
    as i say there must be other players around.
