I watched it on Blu-Ray instead of suffering any glimpse of Eurovision. Still not sure if I've recovered from it yet.
3/10.
I did like the UN meeting scenes though. Probably quite realistic with all the posturing and back-stabbing.
Confessions - Expected to like this, but couldn't get past the ridiculously over-bearing style. Constant slow-motions, exaggerated colour palette, intrusive background music. A perfect example of why film makers should never be allowed to watch MTV.
NOT a Saw-type gore-fest, but a very good character based thriller.
It's set around the concept of a serial killer escaping jail and working his way across the US to find his ex-girlfriend.
Very well put together, the narrative jumps around in time to embellish the story.
It culminates in a stonking final act.
Thoroughly recommended. 8/10.
Don't watch if you get motion sickness though.
The camera work is very .. um .. "naturalistic".

I saw the ad for that the other week ,I have to admit it made me lol, nazis from the moon! and then the bit which said in cinemas for one day only and then straight to dvd LOL, not exactly selling it to me. I suppose some people might like it in a sort of its-so-bad-its-good
Young Winston [1972]. Director: Richard Attenborough
5/10
Though based on Churchill's autobiography he comes across as something of an upper class twit. The movie is like a two and a half hour Ripping Yarn without the gags.
This is a really good old school horror, about a Vietnam soldier coming home ... but there's something "different" about him ...
Directed by Bob Clark (who went on to do the brilliant "Murder by Decree" and "Porkys"!), this is good solid creepy stuff. Richard Backus who plays "Andy" is perfect and really gets under your skin ... literally...
Incidentally, I saw this on DVD double bill (one disc package), with "Children shouldn't play with dead things", and it made the perfect late-night treat...

Dunno. Some bits were good, but I - somehow - failed to follow the plot.
Iron Sky.
Absolutely batsh*t mental!

Fantastic. Shame it doesn't look like the sequels will be made.
Overrated, glum and boring like Children of Men.

Middle-of-trilogy film takes a long time to re-unite the leads and has a weak ending.
4/10 it was ok, but the laughs were few and far between, i think there could have been more interaction with the female characters
A Double Life (1947) - Black Swan, but with a bloke instead of a girl and theatre instead of ballet.
Decent enough but nothing special, despite the amazing cast and great fight scenes.
I was distracted by Gina Carano though, who along with her athletic skills, is (facially) the dead-spit of Britney Spears!
Compare photos if you don't believe me ...
Alice In Wonderland (animated version) 6/10

NOT the 1945 British horror anthology film, but a 1974 US horror, which was also known as "Deathdream".
