You dragged this thread up to say that?

What is wrong with you. To quote a wise man - 'You are a sad, strange little man and have you my pity'

    Very True.

It happens all the time though. I expect ITV to do some tacky blind date/surprise surprise tribute show over the next week or so.

36 pages in this thread tell me you are wrong. She was not liked in showbiz.

I never said she was. I'm just asking why it matters so much to you.

I cannot shake the thought that the poor woman may be ill after seeing her at the BAFTAS a few months back.

    Rubbish! >:(

How disrespectful to drag this thread up. She was much loved by a lot of people. She has hardy been dead and the trolls are coming out of the wood work to drag up old posts.

What is wrong with this world. Cant we just show some respect. RIP Cillax

I enjoyed Cillas tv shows, cant deny it she held them together well.... I have however read things about her whether true or not I dont know.. but I did see her doing and interview and she spoke about speeding along a motorway on her way home after filming a show... she said that another driver kept coming up beside them and waving for her to stop..... She told Bobby her husband to ignore him and speed up.... the man kept following until they bothhad to stop at lights, then the man rolled his window down............CIlla said she was fed up and thought he wanted her autograph , then the man said...... MISS BLACK your fur is caught in the door and dangling out the side of your car.....

Awful person or not the woman had charisma on Blind Date & Surprise Surprise unlike Willabooby. Those two shows were a big part of my childhood and I thank Cilla for the memories.

Yup, as we are no doubt about to witness, everybody loves you when you're dead (unless you are Jimmy Saville or suchlike).

I've been reading about narcissisistic personality disorder, and it appears that Cilla Black is an object example, along with Jimmy Savile.

Looking through this thread, and all I've seen or heard of her, that seems to fit the case.

Except that the younger Cilla seemed quite reasonable?

I am not a fan and even the Cilla character played by Sheridan Smith showed her to be very nasty, especially to Bobby. However, we have to remember she was a mum and grandma and they deserve us to show a bit of respect today.

I'm sorry she's died whilst still relatively young, but I saw her in a restaurant a few years back really beating up on a young waiter. She was the complete dive and many people, including other celebs, have gone on record as saying so.

I do find it an irritation in the modern world than anyone and everyone feels the need to tweet about someone's death if they were famous whether they knew them or not - why not leave it to her actual friends and showbiz pals.

Yes okay, she wasn't that pleasant in real life. But still, that's no reason to celebrate her death. She still deserves respect. RIP Cilla.
