Tin lids

tins of beans, tins of soup, tins of custard

so often you eat some and put the tin back in the fridge

It would be handy to have plastic lids to clip over the tins to keep things
sealed and fresh.

The lids in 2 or 3 sizes to cater for the diff size tins

They must be out there somewhere...... but where ?

    They already sell them, try Google, Amazon, eBay, Betterware, Kleeneze etc.

    Cheapo alternative - small vegetable plastic bag and a rubber band :)

    You can buy plastic lids for pet food tins, that's what I did. Bought a pack of 2 at Wilkos and they were really cheap, although that was before the Wilkinson family handed control to Sainsbury's boss and he put all the prices up, and reduced pack contents in a lot of product ranges.

    Or tightly stretched cling film secured with a small elastic band.

    yOU D think that Asda or Tesco would sell them

    they could be useful to millions of people who open tins every day ... !

    A few in a draw would be handy for half full tin of b beans or Macaroni cheese.

    Been sold for years, we've got them from Asda & Morrisons in the past, probably in the dog food aisle

    The labels normally advise to decant the tine, I think because their lining can start oxidising and introduce toxins or chemicals to the contents.

    SOUNDS a bit drastic, you re only going to keep the tin in the fridge
    for 3 or 4 days

    This is what I have heard so I always decant mine to a Tupperware tub.

    If you use one of the modern side cutting tin openers then the lid can be put back on. I usually stretch some cling film over the top as well.

    YOU D think these plastic lids, made to clip onto the standard
    size tins of beans etc ... would be everywhere.....

    not in the doggie section ....

    Its such a basic item ... but it looks like everyone is using cling film
    and an elastic band !

    If you're using an elastic band they you must be using cheap clingfilm that doesn't actually cling.
