What albums this year have impressed you?

I have only liked and purchased one album this year and that has been Bon Jovi's. I find myself still listening to most of last year's releases.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Push the Sky Away.

There's plenty more I still need to listen to though, and plenty yet to be released.

So far I've only really enjoyed Justin Timberlake's new album, I've been taking this opportunity to go back and explore older music from the 80's and 90's like Madonna for example.

So far have only bought in term of new releases c2013 JT- The 20/20 Experience and Bastille-Bad Blood i like both for different reasons but at the moment simply for its upbeat indie pop Bad Blood its a decent enough debut with decent tunes whilst Jt's i have to be in the mood for and have a 2 hour window to listen to it :D

Hurts - Exile. An album which gets better and better the more plays. The only song I really don't like on it is The Crow which sounds too much like Chris Izaak's Wicked Game. The last song Help is absolutely beautiful and their new single Bliind is fab too.

I think I'll get Bastille's Bad Blood. For those of you who've got both is it fairly similar to the Hurts album? I thought Pompeii sounds similar to some of their songs.

Up to now, Earth Rocker by Clutch, but with new albums by Stone Sour and Paramore getting close it could change

I think musically in the production there's some slight elements of Hurts' first album, but overall they're quite different. Dan's voice is very different to Theo's, but they're still really worth checking out :)

One day I'll hopefully end up getting The Lumineers too.

It saddens me that I've only listened to two albums this year, Justin Timberlake and Bastille. I couldn't get into the Bastille album at all, but JT's is just a masterpiece, stunning.

I want to but haven't got around to hearing yet, Hurts, Tegan and Sara, Imagine Dragons

Yeh, another Kate Nash fan! Her record hasn't gotten the praise the publicity it deserves. I also like the Foals, Palma Violets and the Strokes. I should have included them in my list. I haven't heard Everything Everything, but I will check it out since we seem to have similar taste.

Bastille - Bad Blood is definitely my favourite album this year so far, it's not usually the type of music I listen to but after hearing Pompeii I decided to buy the album and I'm really glad I did. There's only one track (Flaws) which I don't really like but can listen to all the others. People should check it out, quite a few of the tracks are growers, as I didn't really like them at first but I do now.

I haven't bought any albums this year apart from older ones, but I'm sure Little Boots - Nocturnes will be on my list when it comes out.

Haha, I hope it was worth it. Imagine Dragons have become my new obsession :D and I'm so happy to see them doing well on Itunes.
