What sort of steak? Why would you put grazy on a beautiful steak?

Agreed, it's a really odd thing to do !

Sausage and Egg McMuffin and Hash Browns. Good job I`m a lazy swine and the nearest Maccy D`s is just that bit too far away otherwise I`d be clothes shopping with Eric Pickles.

An Farm boy omelette from Omelegg in Amsterdam. Served with corn bread and salad, it is simply divine.

    Flipping spell checker!

Sorry, halloumi cheese. I'd never heard of it for years, but love it now. You get it next to the feta. Slice it up and fry it (no oil) until it goes brown - the browner the tastier, in the same way that bacon can be when it starts to crisp. Absolutely delicious - nice with a bit of pasta and salad.

I'm with Straker on the sausage McMuffins though - MaccyD's is generally pretty crap but their muffins and hash browns are an occasional guilty pleasure.

I love trying food from lots of different countries:

    Indian
    Italian
    Chinese
    Thai
    French
    German
    US
    Mexican
    Tex-Mex

However I'd still go with British for comfort food.

My favourite has to be Cottage Pie. Good old meat and potatoes, with vegetables and gravy! :P

    Macaroni Cheese & Chips

I swear to god I've spent my life trying different versions of this meal cooked different ways and I love every single one I try.

Home made macaroni cheese made with macaroni pasta, cheddar and cream for the sauce with mustard added then covered with more cheddar and grilled then served with home made chips.

I agree that gravy on steak is very strange but if someone loves it and is their favourite food in the world then thats up to them!!

My fave is a nice hot chicken vindaloo with pilau rice and keema naan bread washed down with lots of ice cold cobra beer!

I'm with you...cottage or shepherds pie with peas, broccoli and onion gravy. I think I could eat this everyday.

The Sunday morning bacon sandwich with HP. It's the one meal a week my husband cooks and I have it in bed with a cuppa. Bliss!

I'm calling it helium cheese from now on.

Battered fresh fish, chips, lemon wedge and tartare sauce. Follyewode bayyyy.... sticky toffee pudding and custard. I felt I needed a dessert in there as well. In fact that tinned Heinz one will do nicely! (not a whole one....).
