Part 2 of this is tonight... I saw the women in it a few days ago on 'This Morning'...

    Info...
This show is about this woman who had waited all her life for Mr perfect to come along, but she never found him and stayed a Virgin then she goes on this show (she's about 43) and surfs the internet for a male escort and does it with him (he's about 20!)

    Sick buckets ready!

It seems that there are perverts who like granny on kid action in this forum!

James was 26 or something wasn't he? Is that termed a 'kid' nowadays? That's news to me...

I think it might be news to some to think that people in their 50's still have sex. I didn't recall the women on the show saying they were Grandparents but maybe I missed that bit.

The way people judge others by their own narrow minded standards never ceases to amaze me

Apologies for digging up an old thread - I didn't see the programme, but have seen a few articles about it, seen a clip on YouTube, and of course read this thread. And now I can't stop thinking about James, and worrying about him.

There was a rumour somewhere that he's now friends with these prostitutes, and visits them every so often (no mention of whether or not it's for their 'services'). Even if not, that concerns me. Anyone else think that they're 'grooming' him for further custom?
I can't think that staying in touch with them is even remotely a good idea, and would put a lot of potential girlfriends off him.

And I have feelings for him myself, which isn't good considering that I have a long-term partner, and what I feel is rooted primarily in emotional concern (and borderline distress if I'm honest).

Is the programme still available to watch somewhere? I'm torn between wanting to see it and not wanting to, as I'm pretty sure that it will make me very upset. But I haven't been able to stop thinking about him since the programme aired, and I think seeing it may be the only way to get him out of my system.

Worried I might be falling for James.

It's currently available as one of the free 'Best of Channel 4' shows on 4OD

They've just re-aired it on Channel 4. Missed half of it sadly but can anyone tell me, was he just friendless / jobless to go out socialising and meeting people? He seemed really 'shell-like' with everything they showed him doing. I don't mean the intimate parts with the sex tutors, I mean when they show him around his house, delivering newspapers etc. He seemed really detached from any social contact. Really sad.

I've just seen the last 45 mins of this and I thought he came across as a bit of a saddo. If he'd get some mates and just go out then he'd probably have met someone by now. A very bizarre programme but almost compulsive viewing.

Seeing it hasn't helped at all. Poor James - all he needed was a decent friend and a bit of social guidance. Being groped by prostitutes could very well have destroyed his chances of finding love completely.

I feel angry and sick. I have to admit, what Channel 4 and those women have done to him made me literally weep.

Missed it first time but caught last 15 mins or so last night. It was all I needed to see - how can someone who has no confidence to have sex then go on and do it with some woman old enough to be his mother and be filmed doing so?? Why wear pants AND boxers? It in no way set him up for a normal love life - probably gave him more of an idea of what its like to go with a prostitute and nothing else. The guy set himself up to be ridiculed - loved his 'erotic' dance BTW. :D

"Much ado about nothing" - I (still) feel. On the one hand, I do share a certain sadness (memory) of how CRUEL one's schoolmates can be - FWIW, I was a "late starter" too! But his "shyness" was a tad selective - And there seemed to be other issues too. Sometimes I think it is ONLY in the UK that there is this almost... pathological fear of prostitution. For, as a (protection assured) traditional "continental" solution, it ain't such a bad idea. But if he learned ANYTHING (he did) perhaps it is that "sex" in not THAT big a deal for many people. It is no accident that evidence suggests that once virginity is lost, a LOT of folk (especially women) wait quite a LONG time to engage in any further experiences. ;)

That article was referring to a group on Facebook - half of those 'women who want him', are actually men. And about a third of them have left the group now.

What I object to is those who can't cope with anything openyl sexual and have this absurd knee jerk notion that children are going to be harmed by the subject.

Plus those from the kindergarten who childishly accuse anyone of being a pervert simply becuase they have an open attitude to sex.

I've even had prudes accuse me of being "obsessed by sex" simply becuase I can talk about it.

This is largely why I don't bother with threads like this - and you have summed it up perfectly.

Add to that the overly judgemental and pious attitude a lot of people display from the safety of their keyboards, it just makes you wonder if we live in a nation of 9 year olds.

Ah, I begin to see now. Probably there are many parallels between
the "human mating game" and "Deal or No Deal" - Me? I reckon the
"holey sock" was the real culprit... :D
