OK, Alex - you just continue to believe that it's to do with the sport. ;)

Well, I'd say it's defo off now, seeing as he's singing Katona's praises from the rooftops. It was only ever for show (and cash) anyway.

Re. celeb dads, I think all this stuff has been devalued by the likes of KK and KP - I mean look at what KK was at not long after she won twice. Not saying PA and others on the list aren't good fathers, but by the same token I don't really think Brazier deserves an award for what he didn't do with the kids ... that's a bit like giving someone an award for not being a smoker.

Well either there's no truth in all the Kate and Kerry hatred thing, or else Alex has found some b**ls.

Having said that, if it is true that Kate doesn't like Kerry, I'm not sure Alex should have said that. I'm all for honesty, but his first loyalty is to his wife really. Whatever we think.

Perhaps KP and Alex will get a discount from their damages settlement with CAN by promoting KK.

    Stranger things have happened.

Obviously a mistake - if the awards included stepfathers it would be called Father/Stepfather of the Year  I think Pete (or Jeff Brazier) has it in the bag ;)

    I'd agree with Jeff Brazier.

But come on, Peter Andre? What makes him father of the year? That he lets a camera crew follow his kids 24/7, that he sells them out on covers of magazines, that he has obliterated any chance of them having a private life? That he commercialises them for his own monetary gain? The way he has covertly and openly slagged their mother in national newspapers, something which will remain on record forever? That he had a fling with a page 3 girl and the sordid, seedy details of their sexual activity is also on record in a national newspaper, forever? The fact that he made the issue of his personal sex life a topic of media discussion by announcing his celibacy? The fact that he's willing to dish up any detail of his life for the right price? The fact he takes them on 'relaxing' day trips (read photo op) to the zoo/strawberry picking? Or what about the backlog of other things there, such as his demonstrating sexual positions on camera, talking graphically about his genitals...

    Which one of the above?

I think Pete is a good dad, but really these kind of awards are ridiculous.

To be Father...or Mother...of the Year, a parent should have had to face some real adversity.

Jeff Brazier went from being a dad with visiting rights/access, to being a full time parent, having to look after two little boys who had lost their mum.

I like Pete - he's not perfect, but who is - but I really think this kind of award is ear-marked for a dad like Jeff.

I find these 'Celeb' awards nauseating, just another money making scam for the mags, however, Jeff Brazier has kept his head down, worked hard and more importantly kept his boys out of the public eye...not like some others who use theirs as paycheques!

Yes (I know you don't like comparisons) but you could say the same about their mother tbf. and all the stuff in the latter part is now a few years ago not now. I don't know what the criteria is about for the current year but if it's judged just on that, it's slightly different. TBF I think the same with Jeff, who has only had the kids for a year (and isn't there a superdad on tv involving him? if not stand corrected and he's kept them out of the limelight:)) if he (Jeff) is not self serving then he deserves to win:)

I meant the "sources" - I doubt there was even any chatting, but I suppose they have to keep the link with KP going in whatever tenuous way they can.

This is just a great the" sources" whoever "leaked" this story, didn't bank on the ash cloud, so Kim didn't go. Just goes to show how much rubbish is made up and how much everyone believes it.........Classic example.

........the comment by Sexyonlegs seems to know an awful lot of information and manages to get snide comments in about Pete - could almost be Krusty herself:p;)

Let's not forget it was the Mirror who told us all about PA's non-existent new C4 chatshow, even down to the guests who had and hadn't been lined up ... and the 3am girls then proceeded to slag it off:rolleyes: I think it must be tabloid crisis meeting time after the embarrassment of the DS front cover today - the old "grain of truth" theory is well and truly out the window.

So you think that loving your children and giving them the best that life has to offer counts for nothing? You're deluded. It's obvious that those children are everything to Peter and I very much doubt he'd do anything to harm them. You have no say over whether they're in the papers or not or whether it's bringing any danger to them in any way, and do you really think that they're going to be in the limelight all their lives? Highly unlikely since interest in both Katie and Peter is likely to wane as time goes by. That means we'll be seeing less of the children. They have a priveleged start in life and are unlikely to want for anything, thanks to their mother and father. I see nothing wrong with it whatsoever. From what I can see, you're just picking holes in Peter's parenting skills.

Totally agree. Say what you like about Pete but he is a damn good hands-on father to all three children and the way he has continued to press for access to Harvey since the split and all the associated problems that has caused, proves he is committed to him and that he loves him like his own child.

Peter has always been first class when it comes to Harvey.

There are very few men who would take on a severely disabled child and would be willing to become their father. Since the divorce, Pete's insistence that he remains in Harvey's life is to be applauded and I think it shows the mark of the man.
