What TV show had you most hooked?

My vote goes to Prison Break series one. When it first aired on C5 there was a one week gap between episodes, and I must admit I felt withdrawal symptons. They always managed to end each episode on a nail biting cliffhanger, and because it involved a prison escape agaisnt all odds, it was all the more gripping.

In recent years Skins, especially series 3 and 4 had me hooked. S7 should do it again.

I have to agree with Prison Break Series 1 - I recently watched it on Netflix. Excellent series.

Bad Girls Series 1 also had me hooked - it was first aired on ITV in 1999.

More recently, Broadchurch and Spiral (French crime series on BBC4) have both had me on the edge of my seat.

First and second series of Lost when they were on Channel 4, absolutely loved them and so did all of my mates at the time. Was around 12 or 13 at the time they were first aired so it was all we used to talk about at school! Rewatched the entire thing from start to finish last Summer too and was hooked again, was watching two or three episodes a night.

First series of Prison Break for me too, absolutely brilliant. Second series was good too but never saw any more after it moved to Sky, although I hear it goes downhill from there anyway.

Banged up abroad. I still rewatch episodes on Youtube. The tension when they reach customs raises the hair on my neck!

This is a great episode >http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjfOoHQDRWw

The West Wing would head my list. Got a boxed set and sat with my son both going, "I think we need to watch another one", as each episode finished.

Recently was addicted to The Bridge and The Killing.

Tenko was gripping. I don't remember it first time round but have seen it all repeated.

Recently, Last Tango in Halifax was the best thing I'd seen for years.

Life on Mars. The oldest Jonathon Creek series. Death in Paradise (although I suspect this will be going out the window shortly).

The X-Files in the early years.
A series would end and you'd know it would be months before you got wind of the new series starting. This was before the Internet took off.

Same here!:) it really was good then - I don't know if I'd re-watch it tho'. Maybe if I was abroad or on hols.:)

I've never, ever seen an episode of ' Dallas' or 'Roots' which I believe were great. ?
