    Predictions folks?

New Zealand 1-0 if we play to our full potential.

Sadly even if we play well against Australia I can see a 3-1 result to the Aussies.

But if we perform like we did in the Windies it will possibly be another whitewash.

As for Strauss I would love to have been a fly on the wall with him and Pietersen, talk about bad blood!

    New Zealand

    Tests - 1-0 NZ
    ODI - 3-1 NZ
    T20 - England

    Australia

If they haven't laughed themselves silly and got complacent over this current ECB debacle, they will clean up in all formats

    Ashes - 3-1 Australia
    ODI - 4-1 Australia
    T20 - Australia

I would be very surprised if Australia don't completely sweep the board this summer in all formats

Thanks folks - sadly I am probably being too optimistic that we can win against New Zealand and as for Australia God help us.

No doubt we are going to get an absolute thrashing from Australia. Even having KP in the team and trust levels at an all time high would not save us.

I think we will lose the test series 1 - 0

Then lose the ODI series 3 or 4 to 1.

Finish off with a win for NZ in the T20 game.

Even if we are more prepared by the time the Ashes comes round I can't see us winning any of the games unless they rest players or have an injury or three. It's likely to be horrible to watch and I'm relieved I won't be bothering to.

Not sure why people are so negative about England against NZ. Yes the board has made a mess of the KP situation. However the outcome is what the team wants, so will be glad KP is not in the team. Yes I know I said they would beat the WI, so maybe give Eng more credit that they deserve. But at home, they have to favourites against NZ.

A couple of the NZ are playing in the IPL, so will arrive late and will need time to get used to the weather, which they wont have. I think Eng will
    win the tests series 1-0.
    lose the ODI series 4-1

Against the Aussies, I think the Aussies will win both the test and OD series.

Not totally up on my intnl weather, but wrong country? NZ summers are colder than ours i think, well definitely the south island is.

I do think we'll beat NZ, as i think this series might mirror their visit here in May 2013. Eng had just been over in NZ in Mar 2013 drawing series 0-0 after Southee and Boult had outbowled England (jimmy doing little with a kookaburra ball) and Prior had batted all day for us to hang on to 0-0 draw. Then here in May 2013 we won 2-0 as NZ couldn't bat in english conditions, not helped by McCullum (and 1 or 2 others) coming late via IPL.

May 2013 at Lords, we bowled them out for 207 and 68.

The Aussie side is not that different to the one we beat 3-0 just two years ago.

Are ch5 again showing highlights of the summer's internationals? My only chance of getting to see any of the play.

Radio Times this week shows C5 with NZ test highlights from 7-8pm so I presume the same will apply to the rest of the summer fixtures.

Thanks - their online offering will have to do for me, following morning. Just checked the projected weather, seems rainless.

So will Mark Wood get a start tomorrow or will we stick with the usual bowling attack?

Think the Series will end in a draw.

Friday is rain most of the day.
Saturday will see bad light for sure
first test is surely a draw with this atrocious May weather.

And if match does start visiting teams have to shiver in the slip cordon all day. :D One day a test playing nation will cite weather as a reason not to play in England. :p

Nor from the one that thumped England 5 - 0 down under in 13/14.

Add Mitchell Johnson. That's what the summer hinges on for me. He did very well in the one-dayers in 13 but apart from Headingley 09, he's never made an impact in tests in England.

Spreads calling England runs at 355 - 370

    Seems about right

More interested in the fall of the first England wicket at 39 - 44

    Think I will sell that

Really worried about ballance, you really can't play back to those sort of deliveries.
