Would you like another X Files movie?

I read all then time that the cast would like another movie so why has it never been properly explored? The first two were good movies shame they never gave the tv series a reboot. :)

The second film was poor whose story had very little paranormal/extraterrestrial content, it could have been any old detective show.

It probably came out at the wrong time as well, too long after the series finished but too soon for nostalgia about the show to grow.

    yes!!!!!!!!

creator has already said it would be about alien invasion so plot wise it would tick the boxes.

They just didn't seem prepared to give the second movie a very high budget so it came across as a standard looking double episode.

Chris Carter has had enough chances. No more!

Always thought The Mothman Prophecies was a much better X Files film than either X Files film, if you see what I mean.

    No.

The second film was awful, plus we have now passed the 2012 colonisation date.

Tbh, I never liked all the overarching alien conspiracy/invasion stuff in the show.

X Files was always at its best with Mulder & Scully investigating random spooky cases each week...

Yeah. Carter had no idea how to put an arc plot together.

Having said that, it might be interesting to give former X-Files scribe
Vince Gilligan a shot at the third X-Flick....

I'd love to see it. I still think there's a story to tell here.

Yes please, the first film was terrific ,the second, not so good, more like a mediocre series episode,we need proper closure on the Files,it could be set in 2012 and explore colonisation.

Very true, I loved that movie and kept thinking that it was more like the X-Files than the X-Files movies.

Maybe. It would depend on whether they had a strong idea.

I'd love either a third film or a miniseries to explore what happened with the 2012 colonisation. I'd love to see Mulder, Scully, Dogett and Reyes involved if possible - the latter two never even got a proper exit at the end of Season 9.

I've been nagging for this in the tv thread for a while

Fans want it, the cast want it and so does Chris carter
One problem. They just need FOX to give the go ahead

The last film is something i like to forget ever happened.
