I'm no big fan of Fern, but the guy she's with could be one of her sons. I know she's got twin boys from her first marriage and I reckon they must be around late teens/early twenties by now.

As for the dress, it's entirely up to her what she wears, but she's a braver woman than me!

Give me Fern back on This morning anyday to the current farce.
Her and John were a really good pairing.

Its a shame that one of the issues was This morning didnt want Fern putting out a clothing range. But its fine for Holly

    That's what I thought!

Her and Phil too - I loved it when they used to crease up laughing. It was infectious really. :)

I get the feeling it won't be too long until Fern is signed up to Loose Women and is braging about her new toy-boy lover.

The only problem is the dress is a bit too short for someone her age - that's all.

It's probably because they wear such short and skimpy outfits on the Strictly shows and tour, that they assume they can wear similar stuff in the 'outside world' - but that doesn't really work. As the pic proves, not everyone can get away with it.

More the point that 'fatties' thought that eating ryvita was how she got thinner' when in fact it was having the fat sucked out of her with a hoover.

Really , what insight, I eat Ryvita and have done for years, as I like the taste and its not bad for you as snack not because I am a "fatty" (neither am I skinny) but as I said I like the taste and its healthier than bread.

Ryvita is marketed as a low fat healthy snback option , like many low fat foods it says can help as part of a calory controlle diet ( but then so can anything if you eat in reason) . I dont recall seeing the ad say "Fern lost weight because she ate Ryvita"

Oh and a Gastric Band is totally different to Liposuction.

I was actually replying to a post by Len_112 but thanks for the input.

As for the BIB - quite - but then, what was the point of the advert otherwise? Slightly disingenuous, no?

& thanks for the gastric band/liposuction denouement - really useful:D

I think she looks good - yes the dress is too short for someone of her age and something longer would look better but other than that she looks fine.

Shock horror a lady goes out for a cast and crew night out and links arms with a colleague, of cousre that must mean her marriage is in tatters and she is shagging him, oh wait, you can actually link arms with a colleague of the opposite sex without anything going on, well in the real world anayway.

And who cares if she had a gastric band, who cares about the length of her skirt, she looks good for her age , and you know this life is very short , we only get one crack at it so enjoy it I say and sod what the Daily Mail and other gossips try and insinuate.

I do wonder what all these armchair critics of people look like themselves.
    I like this post:)

My my, what a horrible set of comments.

When I clicked on the link, I was expecting Fern to look ghastly, but she doesn't, she looks great imo.

What Fern did when she lied about the gastric band was wrong, but it wasn't as bad as what Schofield did when he produced that list of supposed paedophiles on live tv. And he got away with it. I don't see why Fern still has to pay for telling porkies about her method of weight loss.

    I want to scream.

Whilst I'll never be FB's number one fan............she's a human being with real emotions.

By believing her own hype and thinking she was bigger than TM,she made a mistook. Thinking that she'd get away with not disclosing her gastric band was another mistook.

Has she tried to make a living since then?Yes.

    Does she offend me? No.

Is she an inherently horrible manipulative person? No

Have I sworn off Ryvita forever? No.

In the scale of world events, does it matter one iota that she went out in Manchester minus hubby? No

    Ffs.........throw the condemnation elsewhere.:yawn::yawn:

For a lot that's well off (that haven't tried everything else), that's just an easy and lazy way of losing weight.

Meant to add the bit in bold instead of just have.

I like Fern. I wish it was Phil who got left rather than Fern. We also wouldn't have to deal with that pointless air head willybooby.

Drives me nuts when the Daily Mail keep insisting that Fern has lost tons of weight due to Strictly when in actual fact she has GAINED a tremendous amount of weight since her FERN TV show and when she did the Christmas Strictly. This is never mentioned but we get pics of her before the gastric band episode when she was pretty heavy!.

I like her and Phil and would be sad if they split. I think Fern went through a personality change when she initially lost her weight and was super thin, turning up in skin-tight dresses, enormous heels and doing the splits etc. I guess aging is no fun for anyone in the media and it must have been a shock when she found herself out of work after leaving This Morning. All these comments about how she wanted to be with her kids and do gardening and learn Italian seems a bit ridiculous. Now all we get are articles about her weight, her tattoo, gastric bands etc and she never seems to work anymore as a TV presenter !! It must be irritating to see how well Holly has filled her shoes on This Morning. I wonder if the "wonderful relationshp" she had with Phil Schofield on the programme is still going strong. Never, ever see them together socialising. I guess it is "out of sight, out of mind"!!

Oh I do hope they have not separated. She seems mad about him in her autobiography. He just about saved her life. She sounded a lot more emotional and needy in the book. I was very surprised about how she suffers from depression and was so vulnerable as I thought she was Mother Earth on This Morning. I adored the fact she was not the normal airhead you get on TV shows, she was a middle aged Mum, did not care that she was overweight and was still sexy and fun, intelligent and seemed to be able to keep all the balls in the air, so to speak. I was rather disillusioned.

I think their "wonderful relationship" disintegrated when Fern made her public confession about having a gastric band on TV with PS having to stand beside her, looking at her and not daring to look at the camera. That really was cringeworthy.

Doesn't explain why she's arm in arm with a man though ! Don't remember him from "Strictly"

If you look at the photo her heels are ENORMOUS and I know when I wear ridiculous shoes, sexy but you cannot walk in them, I hang on to my fella's arm so I do not end up on my face in the middle of the street!!!! She looks great in the pic! Not mutton dressed as lamb as some posters claim. She looks a heck of a lot better than the awful pink Strictly outfit she had on when she was voted off the programme.

I think she may have had a bit of botox as she looks younger now than she did a few years ago.

Anyway apparently her husband doesn't like the spray tan smell that she was using whilst doing Strictly Come Dancing and had to sleep in the spare room.

Yes I think the arrogant way she handled that whole fiasco did her reputation a lot of damage. That and her biography which was an eye-opener regarding her character and behaviour. I think the two things together did her an awful lot of damage. Sad, I loved her FERN MEETS on BBC. Why was that cancelled? She is a good interviewer, I honestly do not know what happened to her career!!
