No doubt they'll be posts about empty seats etc etc.. But more good news for City :)

Although Sky chose to go down the MEN style of reporting with their picture.

Wow stockport must be losing fans left right and center. Then again i'm sure some united fans are now claiming they were city fans before the money came in.

Most Man United fans are currently strongly denying ever supporting the club. :D

It is a very sensible thing to do from a business sense. Add into that with success comes additional interest. There are many ways to run a business and the guys running City are doing a superb job, irrespective of what the detractors (many of whom have probably never run a business) might say.

If you think about it Stockport County have a surprisingly good support considering their comparative lack of success and the fact that they have two very well supported teams (City and United) on their doorstep plus many other well supported league teams in and around the Greater Manchester area.

How exactly are they doing a 'superb job'? They are in for over a billion quid aren't they? How are they going to make that back when they are still running at a huge loss.

So spending a billion quid from your left pocket (the club), then propping it up by spending anothing half billion from your right pocket (the "Quatari investment authority" in so called sponsorship deals)is very sensible from a business perspective and a great job?

Just a wild guess but I'm assuming Rat doesn't run his own business...

It may be "superb" from a fans perspective but thats about it.

Now, getting thet stadium for a peppercorn,THAT was superb from a business perspective, but it had nothing to do with the current owners.

Qatari? Isn't that Paris St Germain? I thought MCFC were Abu Dhabi. And all these small Arab states hate each other, which is why they're trying to boost their prestige by buying European football clubs. :D

Don't let small facts like that spoil his fun, he clearly knows what he's talking about!

And yes of course they are doing a superb job for City and their fans. They're not in it for the money, all pocket change to them. But that doesn't mean that the club don't want to become sustainable in the future, which they will be.

The growth they have achieved off the back of their investment demonstrates what a superb job they are doing. There is much more work to do because of where City have come from and where they want to go. What remains to be seen now is how in the coming years investment from business growth works with and offsets direct investment from the owners to produce a sustainable business framework. Rome wasn't built in a day, and all that... You are also making the mistake of assuming their "return" from Manchester City can be measured purely monetary terms. There are reasons people hold portfolios with complimentary components.

Look at it one-dimensionally without considering the bigger picture then yes you will not see what a superb job they are doing.

If you cannot get even basic facts right then why should anyone take notice of the rest of your ramble.

You would be wrong. And it is by concerted and targeted investment over the last 8 years that has allowed us to grow in spite of the conditions we have been operating in.

There in it for the bragging rights and trophies.

The club couldnt cover its current wage bill without abu's funding you.
