Free bassist Andy Fraser

(Not seen this posted and cannot find anything but sorry if it's a repeat.)

Just heard from a Rock Journalist friend that Andy Fraser, the bass player with Free in the 60's/70's died of an Aids related illness on 20th March.

Andy was a phenominal bass player joing Free when he was 16 and composing, with Paul Rogers, the song that has become a Rock Anthem, All Right Now, when he was 17. Although they never really made the major league of Led Zeppelin, Sabbath and their other contemparies, they left behind a legacy of fantatic blues based rock on their 6 studio albums.

Paul Rogers is now touring with Queen and tt was rumoured recentley that Andy may have filled the bass playing spot but this did not happen.

RIP Andy Fraser.

    p.s. I am goign to see queen, even tho I hated freddy mercury's singing, just to seee Paul.
