Nothing to say about the rumours but what I do know is that he and Thatcher used the police force as a private political army during the miners strike and for that IMO he was a despicable human being

Aye - that too. I hope he and Maggie are burning in hell for all eternity.
I would be nice if the likes of Cyril Smith had been outed as a paedophile before he died ... I have some sympathy for the recently bereaved, but a lot more sympathy for people who were abused over 30 years ago but who's abusers have escaped justice.
Hopefully he will have ordered the posthumous release of documents evidencing a smear campaign by security services because he was a Jewish Wet in Thatcher's cabinet who blamed MI6 incompetence for the death of Yvonne Fletcher.
So, this is where you're hiding out these days then, Dele!
You could be right on this one as well, if anyone is going to know about Jewish wets, it would be yourself.
That jpeg mentions an incident written about in Paul Foot's book. I presume it's this one
The following passage comes from Paul Foot, Who Framed Colin Wallace? (London: Macmillan, 1989), pp. 394-395.
If a secret state like this is allowed to grow unchecked all democratic politicians are at risk. it is no use right-wing politicians imagining that they themselves will be safe from the secret state, perhaps because they have more in common with each other politically. The monster, once fed, will grow hungrier. The upholders of the secret state regard all democratic politicians as traitors to the true cause, and will attack them just as readily as they attacked Harold Wilson or Merlyn Rees in the past. Early on in the miners’ strike of 1984, a vile rumour about the personal behaviour of the Home Secretary, Leon Brittan, started to circulate among journalists. The information was, as I eventually discovered, completely untrue. But it had about it just enough of the ‘ring of truth’ to make it sound credible. Anyone who believed it for an instant would have wanted Leon Brittan removed from office at once. After checking that the information was wrong, I then strove for many days to find its source. It was nowhere to be found. Everybody had ‘heard it from somewhere else’. Sometimes they could remember where they heard it, but that source would prove as maddeningly vague about his source – and so on, endlessly to nothing. Fortunately for Mr Brittan, the rumour never got into print. But where did it come from? So untrue was it that it could not have originated in that part of Britain where the ‘event’ was said to have taken place. It must have been entirely made up. But who could or would have made it up, save those same operators in the Intelligence service who, perhaps, did not want a Jew with a faintly liberal reputation to be leading the government offensive against the miners and in nominal control of MI5. This was by no means the first time that anti-Semitic propaganda against the large number of Jews in Mrs Thatcher’s circle has insidiously circulated among journalists and politicians.

What you "do know" is a load of nonsense, so best not to say anything about any other matter.

I see the socialists are out in force, dancing on people's graves again
That is a crude, cheap and unjustified remark from you based on your own party political loyalty. There are legitimate concerns about whether Leon Brittan could perhaps have done more or taken a greater interest in respect of the dossier that his Conservative colleague Geoffrey Dickens passed on to him. It's not a party political matter either because high profile Conservatives, such as Rod Richards and Zac Goldsmith (to their credit) have taken a great interest in child abuse and paedophile prosecution issues.

Shocking behaviour isn't it? Would be as bad as somebody regularly posting on here making horrible comments about the dead father of Ed Miliband
OH wait................there is one person who does that

Aye - that too. I hope he and Maggie are burning in hell for all eternity.
Very convenient indeed......wonder what he really knew and covered up
You can never trust a Tory
Indeed it is >:(
Why what difference does it make?
Agrees.

Maybe that's why the found the secret file.
All the blame can be piled on him for not taking the right action.
...which means that he cannot now be interviewed by the Metropolitan Police as either a potential witness to events or as a criminal suspect.
Document 99 of what?

But nothing will convince me. Not even a televised funeral.
St Thomas had a similar problem. I doubt whether you will be invited to lay hands on his torso though.
So Paul Foot didn't actually witness the rape nad refers to the incident as "Document 99"?
Odd.

Great respect for him.
to be clear,i despise anyone who served in Thatchers cabinet but i'm pretty sure he was the victim of a smear campaign by his enemies in MI5.
