    Mission Impossible - 9/10

Mission Impossible II - 7/10 You get tired of the John Woo slo-mo

Mission Impossible 3 - 8/10 - Philip Seymour Hoffman does good villain.

Haywire - 6/10 - Work for the Trades Description team with such a slow movie using the word Haywire to describe it. The lead was very easy on the eye.

    Insidious

My cousin had been bugging me to watch this for months, and it finally came through on my Lovefilm list. One of the better horror films of the last 2-3 years. It built well and was really creepy for the most part, and some of the creatures and ghostie things freaked me out. The plot was nothing we hadn't seen before but I don't find plot that important in horror films. Also loved the twist at the end, as when the first part of it happened I was like 'WTF?!?!' but it was all explained soon after in a way I liked.

    Ted - 8.5/10

like a good Kevin Smith film, the balance of crude slacker humour and sentimentality was just right. I particularly liked the campy Flash Gordon references. :p

That point was made in Gremlins 2, which was less dark than the first and more satirical with a lot of self-referential humour.

Thanks for the research Matt .....I do remember the time zone scene now in G2 ....

Chariots of Fire. Just been to see the play so wanted to compare with the movie... dragging on a bit and lacking momentum (play much better on that front). Beautifully shot though. 7/10

I've ran along the beach that was featured in the famous scene in the movie (well when I say "ran" I mean drunkenly staggered in a slow motion type run while bellowing the tune from the film :) )

It's West Sands at St. Andrews in Fife if you ever want to visit the location. And a very nice beach it is too.

    Day of The Outlaw 8/10

An unusual Western with Robert Ryan showing his grit.
The dance scene is malevolence at it's finest.

    Just watched The Hamiltons :p

about an ostensibly normal family reveals a dark secret in this chilling horror movie. On the surface the family members are perfectly average, but behind closed doors they commit brutal murders--with their friendly neighbours usually serving as the victims. :D not bad for Saturday night

    In Time

Thought the first half of it was pretty average, but things really stepped up in the second half. A great idea, but I can't help but feel it could have been executed even better.
