Conservative MP tweets porn link, CCHQ takes the blame

A source at CCHQ denied members of staff had been browsing porn sites and blamed the dodgy link on a ‘technical glitch’.

The source said: ‘Rob Wilson expressed an interest in a story. He was sent a link, it appears there was a technical glitch and we are investigating it.’

Mr Wilson, who is understood to be very embarrassed by the episode, told Metro he had received a ‘full apology’ from CCHQ and that ‘the matter is closed’.

What kind of 'technical glitch' could have caused that to happen?

Man, the same thing happens to me all the time I go online do some study, and some how I end up on celebrity porn channels checking out Britainy Spears sex tapes and such. Gets to be a real pain at times.:cool:

Ie someone CTRL and P the wrong link to the MP. MP wasn't bothered to check the link and sent it to his followers.

"Technical glitch" means that when he pressed ctrl+c to copy the link, he didn't hold down one of the keys far enough so it didn't overwrite the porn link that was already in the clipboard.

Wouldn't satisfying a whim by looking at porn when you are being paid to work be illegal?

And the link was a typo. You are not meant to hand type shortened url's.
