U]What's happening tonight?
[/U]
Ian wants to make amends with both Lucy and Peter, but he can't get hold of his daughter. Jane persuades Peter to attend a family get-together at the restaurant, but in the end, neither of the twins turn up. Ian storms over to The Vic where Peter is waiting for Lucy and he unleashes his frustrations out on his son. Mick is forced to throw a furious Ian out of the pub. At the same time, Denise prepares to break the news to Ian that she wants to leave him.
Later, Ian is still looking for Lucy when he spots the police arriving at his house. His life changes forever when they inform him that Lucy is dead and her body has been found on Walford Common…
Meanwhile, Whitney is feeling sorry for herself after what happened with Lee, but Bianca and Kat encourage her to stand up to him. When Whitney next sees Lee, he once again tries to flirt with her - but she isn't having any of it.
Elsewhere, Bianca may be about to face trouble of her own when Nikki arrives at The Vic.
Also today, Aunt Babe helps out with the pool competition at the pub. When she learns about Stan's arrest, Aunt Babe warns him not to ruin the life his family have built up on Albert Square.

Great to have James Payne back writing for the show.
Here's a good article from the Metro http://metro.co.uk/2014/04/18/eastenders-its-not-lucy-beales-murder-thats-harrowing-its-the-beale-familys-reaction-that-will-make-you-weep-4702286/
Afternoon all!
Na, there's been better. I'm not going to judge the storyline until it's aired in its entirety but I don't think it's the big saviour storyline everyone's making it out to be.
I haven't laughed so much at a thread in ages!! Anyway back to the real thing - I am really, really looking forward to this week on EastEnders. Haven't looked forward to a complete week of episodes like this for years. I especially can't wait for:
I will have a hanky on standby for the tears.
