  Could be because Rita is supposed to have a big fight with Tina and so Dennis tries to impress Rita by trying to get Tina to apologise but they get into a fight and Dennis snaps and kills her.

  Dennis's return does seem a bit pointless. I would rather his ‘great escape’ with Gloria have been the end of him.

  I agree, Leon. His first stint was very lack-lustre. Perhaps he is going to have some tremendous block-buster storyline this time; watch this space.

  I would like it if he took Rita's money and left Weatherfield with a happy ending, rather than between his legs. Lewis Archer style.
