Renaming files within E-Linker

Hi there

Don't know whether this has been covered before.

I was trying to transfer the Ricky Gervais Live: Animals programme to my PC and of course it kicked up an error for the use of ":" in the name.

Tried renaming it in EStinker but it seems to have no effect.

Any ideas, or do we have to rename files in the Humax before transfering them.

    I have never managed to rename a file using elinker, i have always had to go back into the menus and do it with the box.

    I had this before. I'm not sure if its version related or if it just hasnt come up in a few months but I had to edit the file name on the hummy first. Is yours the latest elinker (2.1)?

    Elinker can only rename uploaded files (ie MP3s or JPGs). The Humax online elinker instructions state that elinker cannot be used to rename recorded programmes.
