I find it very insulting that conservative polotitions who loved the democracy of the scotish referendum tell conservative defectors to UKIP they are nuts. Are we a two party democracy! No....
Are the con & lab clutching at straws yes!
Vote UKIP get labour! Should people really not vote what they believe in! That's not democracy !

Just because a party dislikes the fact that someone switches to a rival party doesn't mean they hate democracy. In fact they dislike theses sort of moves because they dislike losing votes, something you need to win in a democracy.

You can't believe in democracy and support the European union. European commissioner's make the laws and regulations that dictate our daily lives, and they are appointed not elected.

Don't the Commission's proposals have to be approved by the elected EU Parliament before they become law?

Actually the one I find hilarious is the constant moaning about the electoral system being unfair to them. The solution? An electoral system that's fair to all parties and represents all votes cast properly? Not in Tory land where the solution is to fix then boundaries to give them more seats at the expense of other parties.

It's not nice being shot down in flames on a Monday morning by a stray fact. Ruins their week :D

in the same way that the civil service, unelected think tanks and the staffers of the respective parties do in the UK, the MPs are just the front men

Only two parties can get an outright majority Labour and the Conservatives and if UKIP continue to take most of its share from the Conservative voter base then it's true, if you vote Ukip you will get Labour.

UKIP want to leave the EU, but the Conservatives are the only party that will put a referendum on the table. If Labour get in then UKIP won't get that chance to campaign for an out vote.

UKIP also have some truly batshit policy that makes no sense, well they claim that leaving the EU will pay for everything they propose. But what if we don't leave the EU? It's not a done deal that a majority will vote to leave.

UKIP want to get elected to get paid. hence there popularist policies that radically change seemingly all the time, and standing MPs against the Conservatives who have stated that if the Consrvatives form the next government there will be a in/out referendum on the EU.
