Leona Lewis started the UK leg of her Glassheart Tour last night in Glasgow after a week of performing in Germany and Switzerland. Who here is attending?

I was at her show in Glasgow last night (26th April) and it was amazing! It was my second time seeing Leona in concert and I'd say her voice is better than ever. The setlist was ballad heavy but it wasn't at all boring and was staged in a really interesting way. The show was sold out and the audience was crazy (well it was Glasgow after all :p)

I didn't intend to, but eneded up recording the entire show so here is the YouTube links :) -

    Wow!
IKR! Broken sounded absolutely out of this world live! I was so nervous that she wouldn't hit the high belts at the end but she hit them so effortlessly. Even my friend who isn't a fan at all was stunned :D

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face was my favourite of the night by far. I was amazed by her control, she switches from strong belt to light falsetto so effortlessly.

Before all the videos from her Glassheart Tour got onto youtube, i was starting to think she was loosing her voice, but i think she delivers The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face much better now, than she did before!

I was worried during the whole Lovebird promo campaign as her voice sounded bad in literally every performance, but I'd say her voice was better last night than on the Labyrinth tour in 2010. I honestly can't fault any performance vocally although I have to say that I thought the arrangement of Trouble was a bit boring but apart from that I was hooked from start to finish.

I can't hear Broken without feeling angry that it wasn't even a single. It would have slayed for Echo :/
    So good.

So jealous of everybody who's getting to see Leona live for this tour :D

I attended the concert tonight in Edinburgh. I'll post a full review tomorrow, but initial thoughts are that it was utterly phenomenal. Her vocals for the most part were flawless and it felt like an absolute privilege to listen to someone of her talent.

It makes me so angry that her record label are allowing her career to falter. Based on the performances tonight Glassheart, Come Alive, Sugar and Broken were clearly all single-worthy. I do agree with the above poster with regard to the performance of Trouble- a poor arrangement. As I say I'll post more detailed thoughts tomorrow! :)

I have to say that the production etc is nowhere near as big as on her last tour. It's a bad sign if the label aren't willing to spend money.

Tell me about it! One of the best vocals of the night for sure!
And you should've got the ferry over for a night, it would've been worth it :D

Wow sounds like she did a great second show then! How was the audience? Was it sold out?
And yeah her label are literally terrible! It puzzles me that they could potentially be making so much more money off of her than they are right now by actually promoting her work but aren't putting in the effort

I think its a deliberate thing. I have to say that the best moments were when Leona was just standing there with a mic giving us her voice without the loud band drowning her out. It was perfect!

Its not, she isn't as big a money maker now so her budget will have been slashed, no surprises.

She actually explained that the tour wasn't supposed to go to Germany originally, but she wanted it so the budget she had was stretched further.

Anyway with Leona's its her voice that is important, it is still a great show by the looks of it.

times are tough for leona, but at least she is still putting on a show and giving her fans the opportunity to see her in a more intimate setting. she should be applauded for that, especially considering many people complain she doesn't tour enough.

another x factor female winner who fell on even harder times following poor album sales last time around is also downsizing and her new shows are even more intimate by comparison. ultimately, singers have to do what they can to reach an audience.

the "other" x factor female you speak of also happens to be one of my favourite artists ever. I so wish I was seeing her lady sings the blues show but it sold out in a day :(

well it would, wouldn't it, its not like she had to fill the main hall. the comparison just goes to show that singers sometimes have to downsize. it was not meant to cause offence, but for some reason, that example immediately sprung to mind.

No offence taken, I was only pointing out that I love Alex ;) trust me I'm very aware of the position Alex is in right now whether I like it or not :(

i was just making a relevant comparison to be honest and i was not wishing to point out obvious realities to her fans. her shows at the elgar room are probably designed to generate positive press and i wish her well with that.:)

anyway, back to leona, her vocals are certainly on top form and thanks for posting the videos.:)

Yeah I hope Alex gets a lot of great press from those shows.
And yeah Leona was incredible on Friday, I so wan't to see her again! And no problem, as I said I was only expecting to film my favourites but I guess the whole show was too good to leave any out haha :D.

Thank you for the vids. I am going to the Oxford show and I also went to Labyrinth tour. I really was impressed with Labyrinth tour but it was all about the visuals, so I am more than ready for a more intimate tour this time round and juding by the vids, I will be very happy. Amazing vocals.

I'm guessing she doesn't like Lovebird anymore, lol.

TBH, it did sound like it could be a hit, but it was released at the wrong time and in the wrong circumstances.

She clearly was never happy with its release, she said once it was a single at a Christmas lights switch on and since then has never mentioned it, she didn't even promote it on twitter when it was released. She announced Fireflies as the second single, but the label decided to change it to Lovebird.
