Sean Pertwee Turned Down a Role in Doctor Who

It's a shame that we missed out on this last season but I really hope this happens one day. Sean is looking more and more like his late father as each year passes (referring to the top picture in the article not the Photoshopped one).
I wonder who he would pay though?
As the third Doctors face was chosen by the Timelords it would be quite nice to see him playing the person whose face they used. Or it would be quite nice to see him playing an unnamed Timelord and people could forever speculate as to he actually was...
