Not much to go on with this one unfortunatley...

Again, the only part I remember about this film is the end, like I'm sure when the credits go up/about to go up...

I think this is a biblical film, I think around the 1970's. You know the kind, right?

The only part I remember is that at the end of the film, there are people walking up a dusty, rocky, sandy hill, its a side on view smething similar to this scene but shot closer up:

Perhaps it is Jesus carrying a cross, with roman soldiers? I just cant rememeber, maybe its not that at all, but I think for some reason it is a biblical film.

Does anyone have any ideas on this one?

The only one I can think of is Jesus Christ Superstar but the ending was different. Still we might find the answer by a process of elimination! :)

    This list might be useful

The era of big budget Hollywood epics had largely gone by the seventies - the only one I can remember is Jesus of Nazareth which was made for tv.

Might be The Bible: In the Beginning...? It's a John Huston film. Your description resembles the part where they step off the ark after a long storm, and walk up a hill. I can't remember if this happened in the end, though.

It's probably not it, but the pic you posted reminded me of the shot just before the end of The Grapes of Wrath:

It would be pretty much the opposite of a Christian film, but how about the final shot of Ken Russell's "The Devils"?

Well, thanks for all the replies so far.

I should have said it was a colour film so that rules out the few B&W ones (my fault for not mentioning colour) I had a flick through Jesus Christ Superstar & while I'm sure that's not it, I did see a part in it that looks more like the scene I'm thinking of.

The scene I'm thinking of has less people & is slightly more zoomed out (like if you could zoom out as much again maybe?) although the terrain is how I remember it? It is also more of a hill & I'm sure the credits were rolling as the scene played out as people walked up it?

Dang, this must be 30 years ago I seen this, I don't know why it has kinda stuck in my head all these years  Maybe it wasn't even a Christian film, but a film set back in Roman times  But I'm thinking films from that period usually have Jesus in them - right? Heck, maybe its not even from Roman times :o
