I lost the will to live after 2 episodes of The Prisoner (with Ian McKellen) a couple of weeks ago, I know there was talk of an "ending" unlike the origianal, so can anyone tell me how it ended? Thanks a lot in advance.....

The Village was where peoples sub-conscious mind went to be fixed (without their knowledge). No 6 was both in the village and in New York at the same time. The village required someone to be the sub-conscous anchor. No 2s wife was the anchor which was why she was always "asleep" in the village. No.2s son only existed in the village and wasn't a real person.
No 2 was testing 6 to see if he was suitable to take over as the anchor. 6 found the doctor woman (313?) in the real world and she was seriously disturbed. She also realised this and decided to be the new anchor. No2 and his wife left the village and No6 became the new No2.

I think that's everything major but the dreamlike nature of the show means I may have misunderstood some of this.

I quite enjoyed the show but it did require some effort to keep up with.

Didn't ST - Voyager have a similar episode with the Borg Collective?
