I was never a fan of Star Trek but watched him in films such as Invasion of the Body Snatchers. RIP.

Ouch! Knew he was in Hospital for something the other day, though having seen a picture of him not so long ago, he didn't look at all well. I guess he wont be showing up in Trek #3 now then. Shame.

    RIP

A fine actor, a finer man and a cultural icon if there ever was one.

    So saddened by this news.

    RIP.

    Bill Shatner;
I loved him like a brother. We will all miss his humor, his talent, and his capacity to love.

TBF he's posted it in the cult forum, so I reckon it's fair enough.

Spock has died for many of us, a truly momentous character in genre fiction. That is tragic for us geeks.

Obviously the human tragedy is that Leonard Nimoy has passed.

    I'm truly saddened at both:(

In the immortal words of Dr. Leonard McCoy:-

He's really not dead, as long as we remember him.

Speaking of Wrath of Khan - I wonder how many of the Trekkies slagging Kirk off for attending a Red Cross event rather than the funeral remember

    "Or the one."

Regarding the funeral V the Red Cross event, Kirk/Bill was caught in a Kobayashi Maru scenario.

Personally, I believe Bill made the right decision, and I think Leonard Nimoy would've agreed with it.

Kirk would have changed the test

How could he change it, so he could be in two places at once

The funeral did seem to be rather quick after his death. Realistically, it was very short-notice for Shatner.

Nimoy was Jewish descent, so unless there's a VERY good reason funerals take place within a day. If anything Nimoy's funeral was rather slow.

How would I know, but Kirk would have changed the test so he could succeed.
