That's exactly the point. My daughter came home in someone else's underwear today, not for the first time. It seems no matter how many times I express my disgust her teachers seem to think it's a socially acceptable thing to do.
I think it's obvious what's happening here.
Daughter:Mum......I think I'm pregnant.
You:Wut?
Her: Pregnant. Up the duff. You're about to be a granny
You:Jesus Christ, Mary Mother of God
Her:Don't worry...I accidentally wore Davie's pants home after PE so that must be why. Or Jim's - I picked them up too. Tom, Dick and Harry - think they were kicking about also. Dunno about Jesus. Coulda been.
My daughter, who is 4 and painfully shy, was too nervous to ask to use the toilet today and had an accident. I expected it to happen, teacher was informed of the situation and told there was spare clothes in her bag. Everything was fine. I go to pick her up and she comes out in someone else's underwear - I asked the teacher why this has happened and got a mumbling response along the lines of 'school policy' when I then questioned the teacher if she would be happy to wear a strangers underwear she looked like id taken my knickers off and slapped her with them - clearly the thought never occurred to her that my child is also a real person, who also doesn't want to wear someone else's knickers! Especially with some of the kids in that school...
So did the teacher give your daughter another childs knickers ? if so did they take them from their bag , I assume they did not forcibly remove them from another child.
Or is it a case of the school keeps a supply of emergency undies for the little ones who may have an accident, in which case many infant schools do that and as far as I know they are just cheap undies just in case but are bought new and are not second hand.

Well if it is for kiddie emergencies....she probably got passed to the office straight away and they would not know if your little one had clothes, just dealt with it asap. My daughter has selective mutism, and has only once in her school days in P1 (p2 now) came back from pants that were from the school store, but the pants were new her soiled ones were thrown away for health and hygiene purposes obviously, our school does keep a fair amount of cheap primark pants for p1'/2s just in case, and parents are asked if they can donate a packet (about £1-2) in the year, so it keeps them going..
Not like in my day you would have to wear used although clean pants if you wet yourself..I think that made me ask to go to the toilet..! However my daughter cannot physically ask for some reason and the school are aware and it is frustrating..
I'm lucky enough to be able to afford my own underwear, but who knows - if I fell on hard times, I might have to resort to putting on someone else's discarded pants.
I don't think that she's 4 makes any difference, it's disgusting, they knew full well there were spare clothes in her bag as they ask all nursery and reception parents to 'keep spare clothes in their bag incase of accidents' the underwear is clearly worn, the cartoon character on the front as faded a lot. They keep a bank of underwear that has been left in school, taken home by teachers an washed. As another poster stated 'this is normal for infants schools' - it's normal for someone to collect used children's underwear and then put them on whatever child they feel like? It's not even just about the hygiene reasons, it's the fact that even after I specifically told the teacher that she had her OWN underwear, spoken to this teacher in regards to wearing other peoples underwear on several previous occasions & they are taken home and washed? With what? What if they use a powder my/any child is allergic to? Not only do they get the joy of someone else's knickers, they also get an allergic rash and an embarrassing trip to the doctor! All because her teacher couldn't be arsed to listen to the serious concerns I raised about my child - as I'm sure you can all tell. I'm pretty livid about the situation!

To be honest I could see your point if they hadn't been washed but these pants were clean. Maybe the school didn't want to embarrass your child by hauling her own pants out of her bag in front of all the rest of the kids. Kids can be cruel. As to the washing powder what are you going to do when she goes to stay with Granny or sleepovers? Provide them with your washing powder and demand they use it?

The End.
I would never wear someone's underwear if they were wearing it before me though!

Did you miss out the word "with" or did you just swap your boyfriend a lot ? and if so what did you swap him for ?

Oops
A chocolate gentalia would have sufficed as a fair trade
And to think some people actually pay quite high prices to buy people's worn undies!!
Once they are washed, it don't matter.....no matter how deep the camel toe.
Will Smith's perhaps
<sniggers>
As I said before, NO. But there's someone on this forum who asks for them and sniffs them.
You mean they actually ask for dirty pants on here?!?
