Was that the crazy close finish? Thought the German guy had made it but he mucked up the touch.

Exactly. German guy was in control, but maybe thought he already had won, slided in. 2/100 difference :)

The Men's 200IM was a fantastic race yesterday, incredible 4-way finish. Looking forward to seeing Ross Murdoch in his best event.

That was an even better 800m from Jaz than in Glasgow. Wish Parry would shut up.

Ludicrous to swim a 200 IM just after finishing an 800 metre race.

That was the same woman? :o

I'm watching it with the sound off and I just assumed it was a pair of sisters.

Funny that people were criticizing the Commonwealths for having trouble finding enough competitors for some events, yet even here at the Europeans they're not able to fill the pool for some of these relays.

Has Hoszuth won all of Hungary's medals? She should hold an independence referendum.

What a thrilling relay race. Pellegrini & Hosszu showing their class.

As good as Hosszu has been in Berlin Sara Sjostrom of Sweden has been even better. She split a huge 1:53 as the third swimmer on that relay for the Swedes (a full 3 seconds faster than either Pelligrini or Hosszu!).

Carlin is now the hot favourite for the 1500 and (in my opinion) at minimum a co-favourite in the 400 free as well. Globally she's easily the 2nd best distance swimmer in the world right now. If Taylor can get healthy before the women's medley they might be able to give Denmark a scare. A big IF though.

So another very good night for Team GB. Gold for Carlin, silvers for Ross Murdoch and Aimee Wilmot, and bronzes for Georgia Davis and Walker-Hebborn.

You're right, Sjoestrom has been sensational.

I think for GB to be having such a good comp when there are so many top class British swimmers not competing is extremely encouraging.

She was DNS for her 400m heat this morning, so obviously concentrating on the 1500m.

Not the worlds greatest swimming fan but am enjoying these championships. more success for the home nations following on from the Commonwealth Games and European Athletics Championship.

Another GOLD for GB Sarah Barrow in the 10m Platform Diving. Thats the sixth gold at the championships think that equals our highest ever.

Story here. She is the first British woman to take a solo European Diving gold since 1927, would you believe!

Glasgow have been confirmed as hosts for the 2018 Europeans, so we will have back to back championships in the UK over the next four years as London are the hosts for 2016.

Yes. It is a boring sport except when British swimmers are winning, and at the Olympics. ;-)

What makes you say that, you seem to be well in to it on here?
Any ex competitive swimmers on here, or current ones?

    Good swim I agree.

I have never seen Fran do a 50 back before at this level, good swim by her there.

Yes more to come! Gonna have to watch that final tomorrow. Could be a good night with Jazz Carlin one of the favorites for the 1500m
