Christ, now Shortiefluff has reported me for suspension as she thought my response was nasty .

Just in case I do get suspended () I hope Serena wins Stanford tonight, she is struggling big time with jetlag according to her twitter, and she has looked sluggish in the matches, however luckily for her she is facing CoCo, someone I can't see posing too much of a threat.

With regards to Murray, I think he should try NLP. I did a short course in it a few years ago and while I can't remember much about it, I do recall that it's all about putting you in a resourceful state and encouraging you to study those who excel in particular fields. I'm sure an expert NLPer could get Murray in a state of mind where he can think as effectively as Nadal and Djoker, and then act in that manner when on the tennis court. I am explaining it all wrong, but know it's seen as a valid tool for business and sports people.

People need to see that he wont win one due to his draw. He still couldnt do it last Sunday but if he hadnt been so negative he may have.

That is all.
Tennisman gave a very long and IMO insightful answer to your query re Andys mental approach. Might be worth searching his previous posts, posted I think during the French Open. Disagree with your opinion that he hasnt improved, check the stats and you will see that he played altogether much better than prior to Wimbledon. He is and has remained the 4 best player in the world. He needs to keep upping his game, ie his serve, forehand etc. He is gutsy, but has the best in the world to beat. Who knows? It will not be for the want of trying tho.

May I just say "In your opinion", to which you are entitled. However, many others on here would entirely disagree with your opinion, and have formed their own opinions on the subject. Its good to share, listen and discuss.

Serena-CoCo has been better than I expected- Serena started off well but then lost her way and was 3-5 down, however won 4 games in a row to win the set 7-5.

Can't see her losing it from here.

Must also add, the male commentator is a right pain. Sam Smith is doing a great job, with insightful comments and then he overrides her but usually with the wrong information. And he just mentioned Serena's first round loss at Roland Garros. It is old news!

Serena was just foot faulted. Everyone waited with baited breath. She joked about it and moved on. Phew.

Serena wins Stanford, 7-5 6-3. Difficult first set but was easygoing for her after that.

Good win for Heather, first WTA title for a British woman in 20 years or so.

Serena & Sara won too. A good week! Oh, and John Isner too - I like him.

A very big congratulations to her and her tennis partner on the victory.
It is always good to get the first win, I bet both of them are very happy!

Heather up to 71, Laura up to 91 in the rankings.

Both career highs.

Heather is now the highest ranked British player in singles and doubles (81).

There are four British women in the top 100 of the WTA singles rankings after Laura Robson joined Heather Watson, Anne Keothavong and Elena Baltacha on Monday.
Today marks the first time there have been four British women amongst the top 100 players in the world in two decades.
Heather Watson, who won her first WTA title by scooping the doubles in Stanford this weekend, is the British No.1 at world No.71, closely followed by Anne Keothavong at 76.
Laura Robson, who reached the singles semi-finals at the WTA International in Palermo, Italy this weekend, is at a career high of 91 in the singles rankings with Elena Baltacha completing the quartet at 100.
There are also eight British men ranked inside the top 100 of the ATP doubles rankings, with four in the top 40, including Wimbledon champion Jonny Marray at 22.

Watson winning a doubles title and Laura reaching her first semi in the same week. They keep this form up for the doubles at the Olympics and who knows what will happen. Shame they didn't get the singles wild cards too.
