Went to see the first showing of 'Alien' on the day of release.
Loved it so much that I went back that evening to watch it again.
That's another film I would love to at the cinema now.
There are actually quite a few old films that I would go to see. I wouldn't mind another chance to see 'Master and Commander: The Far SIde of the World' on the big screen. When I went to see it the experience was ruined by noisy 'youths' who had no interest in the film. It's since become a firm favourite.

You would have loved the first showing of 'Alien'. For one thing, nobody knew anything about the movie as the only trailer that we'd seen showed a solitary egg.
It was 10:30 in the morning at Leicester Square. There were about 50 people in the cinema and besides the odd scream there was absolute silence.
It was probably the best cinema experience that I've ever had.
I must have seen Superman: the Move some fifteen plus times at the movie. If not a lot more (I was obsessive over it as a kid and demanded that I be taken on an almost daily basis for weeks).
And the Star Trek movies, certainly The Voyage Home six or so times.
And Batman Returns five times.
There's always the odd one I've seen multiple times since then but I don't think I've seen many movies 2+ times in the last decade or so.
... Frankly I'm quite surprised that so many people go to see the same film more than once over what is, presumably, quite a short period of time. What on earth do they get out of it? ...

Pretty sure that's all of them. I don't make a habit of it and it's usually because I see stuff with different groups of people.
None of the above would make my top 10 films, incidentally. And I can't see myself ever going to the cinema to see a film more than twice.
Amadeus - 8 times within a few weeks - just like playing a record over and over and over again... or reading a book over and over again... enjoying the musical and visual feast in the biggest possible environment and listening to that wonderful script repeatedly ... (so many memorable quotes!)
The Deer Hunter - 3 times over a month... just so haunting, I just couldn't switch off and needed to stay with the characters that bit longer just to process it all and get over it. (ps. I don't think I ever did...)

I usually go see blockbusters about 2 - 4 times but if I really love it, then it could be any number of times. Like TDKR, LotR, Hobbit, Avengers etc
