I hadn't seen this before either but thoroughly enjoyed it........my brother recommended it to me

    Couple of good lines......

    'Where's Jack'?

'He's giving a lecture to some extras to develop his character'

and ........Health Resort cum Spa.........'well we're keeping the health resort but closing the cum spa'........:D

I wish I read this thread first before watching tonight's episode. I did initially feel like this about it:

Trying a bit too hard, I think. Feel like I've been pounded around the head with a jokebook. But a few gems here and there, if you could find the time to catch them.
But midway through it was obvious that it was supposed to be like a Police Squad/Airplane type of comedy. 'How about a game of Boggle?' 'Don't play games with me' :D

Surprised not to see this advertised anywhere
So I am, it was just by chance the TV was still on the channel after Simpsons and the dance show programme after that and heard the commentator mention Charlie Brooker's name. Never heard of this before now, so haven't watched the first two series either.

I haven't watched the whole episode yet, but there was an exchange between Cloth and the captain that went something like "I'd planned to come over to her" and cloth said "what, from there ?" :D

DC Des Hairihan. "To catch any criminal you have to think like they do. You have to get inside them."

New rookie Kerry Newblood (Karen Gillan). "So how would you go about getting inside me?" :D

I actually find the above examples to be the least funny. Maybe because I am not 13.

But the intention of the show is to pull the cheap jokes that a normal comedy show wouldn't, for example, a sign that says "Road Closed for Opening Sequence" would only work in this show

"You don't have to be God to work here but it helps" on the church noticeboard.

Does anyone know if this is the last 'Cloth' we'll get from Charlie Brooker?

    That's not what I meant.

It is just when, in all the parody, satire, tropes, visual gags, word play, surrealism, slapstick, comic timing, subversion and bizarre characters...

...you get people posting things like"Lolz, he said he wanted to get inside her :D"
