I'm sorry if there's already a similar thread, I've looked but only found one concerning his albums. For me, it's a tie between Boys Keep Swinging and "Heroes". I'm just interested in reading about other peoples' favourites. :)

So many to choose from, but I've always loved Drive In Saturday and Moonage Daydream.

Totally unoriginal but 'Life on Mars' is a masterpiece.

'Wild is the Wind' is probably my favourite cover version ever and 'Slip Away' is my most under the radar favourite.

    Jump They Say

I love a lot of David Bowie songs, but Jump They Say is probably one of the most captivating. The juxtaposition of the unsettling schizophrenia-based lyrics, with the upbeat music and the beautiful blend of saxophone and strings in the chorus just takes it to levels of brilliance that only David can pull off

    Wonderful

Probably Moonage Daydream but it changes all the time. Sometimes it's Heroes, but it has to be the original version with the Fripp guitar lines.
Another strong contender is Something In The Air, from the Hours album, from which I also like New Angels Of Promise.
At other times it would have to be Kooks. That's the thing about Bowie - there's such a massive variation in his output.

Sweet Thing from Diamond Dogs. For a single, I'd have to say Life on Mars

For me it is Let's Dance.

A mammoth 80's classic that still sounds so good today.

One of those records that get to no 1 and you think "Well there is a god after all"

I actually really like that - and Love You Till Tuesday which is very similar. "♪ ♫ La la la la, love ya til Tuesday ♪ ♫"

Starman or Ziggy Stardust for me. Heroes and Fame are up there too, and John I'm Only Dancing, haha. I think the only really popular Bowie song I DONT like though is Space Oddity. Man's a genius, haha.

Still one of the most-played artists on lastfm and other streaming sites, and that was the case as well BEFORE he released his last album.

I am not a huge Bowie fan , but for me it has to be Absolute Beginners, crap film, but a fantastic song, and still sounds great today.

That's probably my favourite as well! Other amazing songs -

    Suffragette City
    Five Years
    This Is Not America
    Wild Is The Wind
    Ashes To Ashes
    Fame
    Life On Mars
    Sound and Vision
    Little Wonder
The Man Who Sold The World

That's just scratching the surface... I really like a lot of the tracks of the new album, especially (You Will) Set The World On Fire, If You Can See Me, You Feel So Lonely You Could Die amongst others. Bowie is a true legend of music. :)
