I'd been trying to find out who he was. I'd had his face in mind for a post on here but couldn't pin him down. I remembered him being in a Dennis Potter thing - Lipstick on Your Collar - I think it was but my searches so far with this had proved in vein. Well done and thank you once again!
Peter Jeffrey was nearly the star of Doctor Who. I think Tom Baker got the role instead. Funnily enough, Jeffrey also provided the vocal sample on the Dreadzone song Little Britain. Tom Baker narrated the TV series of the same name!

He was the one I was trying to find when I found some of the others. I couldn't think of anything definite he'd been in and came across him by accident! Great thread.

I'm often the other way around – I remember the names but not the faces.
Yes, he turned it down in 1966, apparently and it was taken by Patrick Troughton.
Jack Davenport is my one, I watched coupling recently and couldn't for the life of me remember where I'd seen him before, it was so frustrating and then about three days later I remembered he was in Smash! :P

First saw him in This Life which reminds me of Ramon Tikaram:
Ah ha... yes. That's another one I've often wondered about. I would have come round to that eventually but luckily you've saved me the trouble. Thank you.
Sam kydd is a real gem of a find. Definitely one I wouldn't have known I'd known until the next time he cropped up in a film. Certainly an old familiar one though. Thanks.
Ivor Dean of course is familiar. Ronald Radd though? I recognise him vaguely.
I find this happens to me quite a lot with Game of Thrones cast members or Once Upon a Time cast.
I was watching The Tunnel on Sky Atlantic and wondering why the male lead looked so familiar.
Then realised that it was Game of Thrones' Stephen Dillane.
I'll often look up an actor or actress and discover that they were in something else I watched but I'll be racking my brains trying to remember who they were.
I always have a tendency to forget Holland Taylor as well (of Two and a Half Men fame), if I see her in something else I'll be saying, "that's her from that other programme."

Superb! A great selection there, this is why I created the post. Thank you Kimindex.
Peter Jeffrey, so that's his name!!

I love Duncan....done loads with Victoria Wood; that's where I first began to pick up on him.
Annette Badland is another actress who gets lots of work:

Lovely thread. It's good to give these people some recognition.

Jack is the son (as I'm sure everyone knows) of two other actors, Maria Aitken and Nigel Davenport.
If you don't recognise his face, then you'll certainly recognise his voice.
I've seen him for years.
Still can't identify him, although I've had a bit of a look.
Feel like I'm going a bit barmy.

A familiar face from the old Hammer horror movies.
Yes it IS - thanks - I found the name attached to the show, but it was some flamin' Australian politician - I couldn't get my head round it.
Thank you very much Kimindex:)

Ivor Dean http://i436.photobucket.com/albums/qq85/cornershop15/IvorDean2.jpg
and then there's the great Sam Kydd who appeared in just about everything http://www.jonathankydd.com/sam-kydd/
Enn Reitel was up for the role of Del Boy because at the time he bore a resemblance to already cast actor Nicholas Lyndhurst.
